Finland looks back at the years of Plastic - Sept. 13

During the 1960s and early 1970s, the main material used for innovative products in the Nordic countries was plastic. All kinds of furniture, clothing and other objects were created using different types of plastic.

On the stamp we see a number of examples from homes during that time:

- a ball chair;

- a typical lampshade;

- a red Cobra telephone;

- wall paper;

- a floral mirror;

- Hi-Fi Stereo by Salora;

- yellow Go-go boots; and

- the white Palaset shelf unit by Ristomatti Ratia.

Durante a década de 1960 e início da década de 1970, o material mais usado para produtos inovativos nos países Nórdicos era o plástico. Mobília, roupa e outros objectos eram criados utilizando diferentes tipos de plástico.

Neste selo vemos vários exemplos de casas daquela época:

- uma cadeira redonda;

- um típico abajur;

- um telefone de Cobra vermelha;

- papel de parede;

- um espelho floral;

- um estéreo da Salora;

- botas Go-go amarelas; e

- uma estante Palaset de cor branca da Ristomatti Ratia.
